Hey, it’s episode 52, which means we’ve been doing this podcast for ONE YEAR now! Thanks to everyone who has stuck with us this long. We hope you’ll continue to listen and tell your friends. Also, send us comments, suggestions and criticisms about what you like and what you don’t like so we can continue to improve the show. This week we discuss disastrous Christmas gifts, overcoming physical challenges, Hallmark Christmas movies and we even figure out a way to bring it all down with a discussion on dying. It’s who we are, folks. Our Live Beer Review is Suck-Up… er, Sykophantes by Orpheus Brewing.
Rick notices almost every time a show is recorded there is a thunderstorm so he wonders if maybe the show is cursed. Just in case, he finds some magick spells to see if they can drive out the storms. Cheri gets a care package from a listener and Rick questions whether all Cheri’s friends have to see her naked in order to qualify as one of her friends. Cheri and Rick discuss Mt. Everest’s poop and death problem because what is an episode without a discussion about poop and death. The Live Beer Review is Abita Brewing’s 30° 90°.
We decided to launch our new feature “Be Our Guest” on a Sunday at Atlanta’s Thinking Man Tavern. Unfortunately we showed up after the big rush and everyone had gone home. So, our first impromptu interview of a complete stranger was an epic disaster. Go figure. Still, we made a show of it and discussed awesome subjects like dogs attacking small children and people dying in road crashes. I mean, why wouldn’t anyone want to be on our show?? This week’s Live Beer Review is Harvey’s Brewery’s Elizabethan Ale. Keep surviving, friends!
